Our best release yet

Sign in and your scenes follow you everywhere. Light your frame with sun through a window, ask us to build the scene you have in mind, and take Moga into client work with the Commercial Version. This release also rounds off V1.2, so it brings everything from the last few updates: a true lens blur, focus peaking, quicker exports, eight themes and four languages.

Your scenes, everywhere

Sign in with Google or your email, and your saved scenes follow you to any laptop, tablet or phone. They save themselves as you work.

Light and shadow

Sun through a window, blinds or leaves, a monstera, a palm, or the light off water, falling over your whole frame. Pick the time of day, turn it to the other side, and set its light and its shade apart.

Scenes made for you

Show us a video, a storyboard or just an idea, and we'll build the scene. With Moga Priority it's ready within 48 hours, and it can stay yours alone.

Moga Commercial Version

Use Moga and what you make with it for clients, ads and anything you sell. $19 once, no subscription, and every export carries its license.

Feature highlights

Mirror

Light and shadow

Pick a shadow and a time of day. Set the light and the shade apart, or turn on Mirror for the sun from the other side. It falls over your whole frame, just as here.

A card out of focus with the old bokeh: blurred inside, its edge still cut hard The same card with the new bokeh: its edge melts into the dark, as through a lens BeforeNow

A real bokeh, before and after

One card out of focus, from the same Tumbling Sphere frame. Drag across it: before, only its inside blurred and its edge stayed cut. Now the whole card softens and melts a little past its edge, the way it would through a lens.

Focus peaking

Drag Focus depth. Whatever is in focus lights up in red, just like manual focus on a camera.

Eight themes

Four dark and four light. Choose yours in Preferences.

Four languages

Every label and hint in English, Tiếng Việt, Français and 日本語.

New

  • Accounts: sign in with Google, with an email and password, or with a link we send to your inbox
  • Saved scenes sync to your account, so they're the same on every device, and save themselves as you work
  • A profile with your name, email and photo: upload your own, or roll the dice for one of 35 mascots. Sign out and Delete account are there too
  • A new sign-in page, with scenes from the library playing alongside
  • Moga Commercial Version: $19 once for commercial work, from Account or the Export menu
  • Request a scene from a video, a storyboard or an idea. On Personal it takes about 2 weeks; the Commercial Version gives you 5 requests, each built within a week
  • Moga Priority: your scene built within 48 hours of us taking it on ($22). Add Keep it yours alone (+$13) and it never goes into the library, its source code yours too
  • Scenes made for you wait in Scenes, under Yours, for your account alone, and we email you as your request is taken on, ready or declined
  • Shadow overlay: eight shadows, from a window's light to swaying leaves and rippling water, four suns (White, Morning, Afternoon, Sunset), Mirror for the sun from the other side, and Light and Shade on dials of their own
  • New photo scenes: Letter Zoom, Runway, Drift Reel, Hard Cut, Mask Reveal and Color Wipe
  • Two calm shots for every device: Static, square on to the screen, and Close drift
  • Flow, a third kind of gradient: soft bands of colour that drift as your scene plays. 20 gradient presets, and you can save your own
  • Rack focus (Beta) pulls focus from one depth to another over the loop, and bokeh and focus peaking work on device scenes too
  • Story: an Instagram story's top over an iPhone's screen
  • The Scenes drawer gets a Full bleed group, and a Still / Moving filter for each kind of device
  • Credits, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages
  • Name your export: type a file name in the Export menu, or leave it empty for Moga's own

Improved

  • A real bokeh: out-of-focus photos blur the way a camera lens does, soft and round, and steady from the first frame to the last
  • Faster exports: device scenes take less work to draw each frame, up to 1.5× faster on a slower computer or phone
  • Tablets get their own layout: the frame on top, the timeline under it, and both panels side by side
  • On a phone or tablet, pinch with two fingers to zoom a device scene, while two fingers still move it
  • A device's Tilt, Turn and Roll are dials now, three in a row
  • Settings show their unit in the number: 45°, 100%, 1.20s
  • Drift Inward, Proximity Field and Nested Zoom remade, closer to the reels that inspired them
  • Export at 24, 30 or 60 frames a second
  • A shorter Export menu: frame rate and quality fold under More options
  • A Moga link you share shows a proper preview, with the new icon
  • The scene pauses behind the Account and Feedback windows, so nothing moves while you type
  • Sign-in links work on any device, including a phone's mail app

Fixed

  • The Account and Feedback windows open in the center again when the Scenes drawer is open
  • The scene you left opens from its first frame again, not blank
  • Proximity Field's overlapping photos no longer flicker
  • The Request a scene window's preview no longer goes blank between its scenes

Removed

  • Corkboard and Board Reveal leave the library. A saved scene or link that used one opens Card Fan
V1.2.4 11 Oct 2026

Focus peaking and eight themes

Focus the way a camera does, choose from five new themes, and meet the Retro TV. The iPhone Duo now folds like the real thing, and you can design your own Bento boards.

Retro TV
Bento Pillar
iPhone Duo

Focus peaking

As you set Focus depth, everything in focus lights up in red, just like manual focus on a camera. It never shows in your export.

Eight themes

Ocean, Homebrew, Basic, Novel and Silver Aerogel join the lineup, inspired by Terminal.app. Four dark, four light.

Any frame, any device

A MacBook, an open iPhone Duo or a Pro Display now fits whole in a tall or square frame.

Retro TV

A classic CRT with four camera shots. Turn on Retro Screen for scanlines, a rolling bar and film grain.

A real fold

The iPhone Duo folds like the real device, the picture holding still under a soft blur as it closes.

Bento, your way

Draw your own grid in Bento Slide, or line up 2 to 5 boards side by side in Bento Pillar.

New

  • Retro TV: a CRT with four shots (Orbit, Back reveal, Power on, Levitate), and a TV filter in the Scenes drawer
  • Retro Screen: scanlines, a rolling bar and grain over the TV's screen
  • Bento Pillar: 2 to 5 Bento boards side by side, each starting a beat after the last
  • Bento Slide: draw your own board (choose the columns, rows and cells), and Shuffle every board after the first
  • Five new themes: Ocean, Homebrew, Basic, Novel and Silver Aerogel (Silver Aerogel replaces Red Sands)
  • Focus peaking: whatever is in focus lights up while you set Focus depth
  • Edge blur for the iPhone Duo: choose how the edges of its folding screens look (iDuo or Moga)

Improved

  • The iPhone Duo folds like the real device: the picture holds still as it closes, under a soft blur
  • Leave the Duo's front screen empty and it shows the inner screen instead
  • Bokeh is now a true lens blur, smooth and consistent across the whole loop
  • Rolodex cards all turn on one hinge, and the front card leaves without a jolt
  • Auto scroll switches on by itself for long pages, and scrolls from the first frame to the last
  • Wide devices (MacBook, open iPhone Duo, Pro Display) stay whole in narrow frames
  • Device scenes draw each frame up to 1.5× faster on slower computers and phones, so exports finish sooner
  • Lighter 3D models, and no more freezes at startup or in the Scenes drawer on slower phones

Fixed

  • The iPhone Duo's screen no longer flips or stretches at certain angles, and no glare sweeps across it
  • Pro Display XDR + MacBook | 04: the MacBook stays out of frame until it slides in
  • Buttons on overlay rows and section headers are easier to tap, and tapping the canvas on a touchscreen laptop no longer opens image details
  • Turning your phone sideways shows the settings sheet in a single column
V1.2.3 11 Oct 2026

Photo scenes, reworked

We rebuilt two photo scenes, gave two others a scene of their own, and checked every photo scene in every frame shape.

Warp Tunnel
Drift Inward
Grid Snap

Warp Tunnel and Drift Inward

Once one scene, now two. Warp Tunnel also bends its photos around the tunnel wall.

Grid Snap and Corkboard

An editorial grid that rearranges itself step by step, and an endless moodboard of photos in mixed sizes.

Any frame shape

Every photo scene now stays inside the frame at 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4 and 4:3.

Better defaults

Rounded corners that match across photo scenes (in true 3D on Photo Cube), and a 10-second loop for most.

New

  • Warp Tunnel and Drift Inward are now separate scenes, and Warp Tunnel bends its photos around the wall
  • Grid Snap and Corkboard, rebuilt: an editorial grid in mixed sizes, and an endless moodboard
  • Stretch for Bento Slide: the grid lines slide, and every photo stays on the board
  • Spin axis is now a simple X, Y or Z choice, each option showing its axis

Improved

  • Photo scenes share the same rounded corners by default, and Photo Cube's corners curve in 3D
  • Most photo scenes now loop in 10 seconds; the ones that need their own pace keep it
  • Helix Climb, Ring Cluster and Prism Burst show your photos large enough to see
  • Ring scenes center themselves, and Wide Ring is now part of Step Ring
  • Position starts from each scene's own framing, and a dragged device stays close to it
  • The Add media tooltip shows how much space you've used
  • Railway now comes in two looks: Original and Ribbon

Fixed

  • Photo scenes no longer spill out of 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4 or 4:3 frames
  • Spin axis works in every scene that has it
  • Railway's photos read the right way up where the band twists
  • Every easing tile shows its tooltip
  • iPhone Duo 06, 07 and 08 have preview images in the library
V1.2.2 10 Oct 2026

Photo Folder and Flip Row

Photo Folder now looks like a real desktop folder, Flip Row lets you choose what's on the back of its cards, and the editor opens faster.

Photo Folder
Flip Row

Photo Folder, rebuilt

Files stand one behind another, with up to three tabs you can name and resize.

Your own card back

Put any image on the back of Flip Row's cards. They now lean toward you as they flip, too.

High contrast

Stronger lines and text, from Preferences, whatever your system is set to.

A faster start

A shorter splash and lighter device models, so the editor opens sooner.

New

  • Photo Folder: files stand one behind another, with up to three tabs you can name and resize
  • Custom back for Flip Row: put your own image on the back of the cards
  • High contrast, in Preferences

Improved

  • Photo Folder moves its files forward with each step, and its tab names stay crisp and readable on any photo
  • Flip Row cards lean toward you as they flip, land in one smooth motion, and keep each photo's crop ratio
  • Card Fan reaches its first peak sooner, and its shimmer is on by default
  • Crop ratios sit four to a row, with Original first
  • Turn the Corner knob with your mouse wheel
  • A shorter splash and smaller device models, so the editor opens sooner

Fixed

  • No more see-through line around Photo Folder's cards as they move
  • Switches and option groups keep their shape once the page's fonts finish loading
V1.2.1 10 Oct 2026

Four languages, three new scenes

Moga now reads naturally in four languages. This release also brings three new photo scenes, and makes the editor easier to use with a keyboard or with less motion.

Railway
Flip Row
Bento Slide

English, Tiếng Việt, Français, 日本語

Native speakers reviewed every language, and we rewrote about 800 phrases so each label reads naturally.

Three new photo scenes

Railway, Flip Row and Bento Slide, each with two Preset looks to start from.

Easier for everyone

Reduce motion in Preferences, smarter Tab navigation, and a canvas that screen readers can find.

A clearer Export menu

See exactly what you'll get before you export: the size, the format and roughly how big the file will be.

New

  • Three photo scenes: Railway, Flip Row and Bento Slide, each with two Preset looks
  • Reduce motion, in Preferences: scenes open paused until you press Play, and the editor's animations stop
  • Better keyboard and screen-reader support: Tab skips anything hidden, and the canvas has a name

Improved

  • About 800 phrases in Tiếng Việt, Français and 日本語 rewritten after a review by native speakers
  • Scenes drawer filters sit in two rows on both tabs, with the chosen tag named beside its icon
  • A friendlier empty state in the Scenes drawer, and the New tag on the 10 newest scenes in each tab
  • The Export menu sums up what you'll get on one clear card
  • Choices look and work the same everywhere in the editor
  • Original crop now means each image's own shape

Fixed

  • Flip Row's cards fit tall and square frames
  • Add logo and Add text fit the panel in every language
  • Clearer English wording where labels were confusing, such as “Redo all properties”
V1.2 October 2026

104 scenes, four languages

The biggest update since launch: 104 scenes, the editor in four languages, image export, media that stays put, and a layout made for phones and tablets.

Card Fan
Photo Wreath
Caterpillar
MacBook Pro 16
iPhone 16 Pro Max
iPhone Duo

13 new photo scenes

Card Fan, Photo Wreath, Caterpillar, Rolodex, Photo Cube, Bento Zoom and more, each with its own Preset looks.

New device shots and combos

26 new camera shots with smoother moves, plus scenes that pair a MacBook with an iPhone, iPad or Pro Display.

English, Tiếng Việt, Français, 日本語

Choose your language in Preferences, next to the theme. Every label and hint is translated.

Image export

Save any frame as a PNG or JPG at 1080p, 2K or 4K, with a transparent background if you like, or copy it straight to your clipboard.

Your media stays put

Photos and videos are kept in your browser, so closing the tab loses nothing. Up to 3 GB, with as many videos as you like.

Made for phones and tablets

Four tabs with sliding sheets, two fingers to move a device, and a Desktop mode that gives tablets the full editor.

New

  • 13 photo scenes: Nested Zoom, Focus Strip, Cascade Rise, Bento Zoom, Card Fan, Photo Wreath, Caterpillar, Slide Stack, Interactive Stack, Rolodex, Photo Folder, Photo Cube and Bouncing Frame
  • Combo scenes: a MacBook alongside an iPhone, iPad or Pro Display XDR, with a settings tab for each device
  • 26 device shots with smooth camera moves, including Open and wake, Whip in, Fly-over and Book open
  • Auto scroll: a full landing page scrolls down a device's screen, smoothly or in steps, with its own easing
  • Fold the iPhone Duo by percentage, close the MacBook's lid all the way, and tilt the Pro Display
  • Trim and crop your videos, just like photos
  • Preset looks: every scene comes with a few ready-made looks to start from
  • A position pad: drag your content around the frame, snapping to the center lines
  • Canvas: 9:16 next to 16:9, any custom size from 1:4 to 4:1, and a grid overlay
  • Overlays: up to 5 logos and 5 lines of text, each with its own scale and opacity
  • Focus Strip: choose which cells the camera stops on, in any order
  • Preferences: theme, language and Desktop mode in one place
  • Scenes drawer: scenes grouped by how they move, New and Editors' Choice tags, Favorites, and it opens on the scene you're in
  • A keyboard shortcuts sheet, and panels you can hide
  • Send feedback from inside the editor, plus an About page and this page

Improved

  • Drag any number to change it, as in Figma or Blender (hold Shift for bigger steps, Alt for finer ones)
  • A rebuilt Export menu with Video, Image and Code, and a clear summary of what you'll get
  • An export screen with a progress ring, plus the frames and seconds left
  • Backgrounds: drag gradient stops along the bar, set the angle on a dial, and photos and videos fill the frame
  • Images: organize them in folders, mirror any one, paste a copied image to replace one, and set one crop ratio for all
  • Corner radius on a knob, with stops at Sharp, Curved and Round
  • Camera Zoom is now Distance, a real dolly move, and narrow frames pull the camera back so devices stay whole
  • Real frosted glass in Story Selector
  • Lots of videos at once stay smooth, both in the preview and in the export
  • Reload the page and your scene comes back exactly as you left it
  • 18 weaker device shots retired from the library
  • Clearer labels, hints and wording throughout

Fixed

  • Videos no longer look washed out
  • Exports no longer show outdated video frames
  • The MacBook's lid turns on its real hinge, all the way closed
  • Very large photos are scaled down to what a phone can handle, instead of failing to load
  • Videos dropped in from Finder without a file type are still accepted
  • Only your newest tab saves your media, so two open tabs can't overwrite each other
  • No more page zoom on iPhone when you tap a field
  • WebM is grayed out where your browser can't create it, and 4K on a phone asks before it starts
  • Safer file names and upload checks
